SD1 Magnetic Tool

Smar™s SD1 Magnetic Tool is the second man-machine interface used to make local adjustments in the Smar™s transmitters and converters. It comprises the advantage of the powerful HHT and the convenience of the “good-old” screwdriver.

The instruments have, under the identification plate, holes for two magnetic switches activated by the magnetic tool. If the transmitter or converter are fitted with a display, and configured for Complete Local Adjustment, the magnetic tool is almost as powerful as the HHT. It eliminates the need for an HHT in most basic applications.

SI700: Interface RS232/RS485

This module converts the electrical characteristics of the communication signal from the EIA/RS232 specification to EIA/RS485 specification.

The converter circuit provides signal isolation to grant a safe connection between two systems.

This module was designed to use the DFI/LC platform and so, no power supply was embedded in the board. It uses the +5Vdc lines from the IMB bus to energize the circuit.

SimulationView Strategy Simulator

The new Control Strategy Simulator is totally integrated to SYSTEM302. This software tool simulates Foundation fieldbus function blocks and IEC 61131-3 Ladder logic.

SimulationView is designed to train operators, teach control automation in technical schools and universities, test control application, develop and improve industrial processes. Operators are trained on the same graphical screens developed for real operation. Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and application tests can be performed before the system startup, speeding up the engineering process and project delivery.

SimulationView connects to the SYSTEM302 database and promptly alternates between the real and the simulated environment. There is no need to import or export strategy configurations

SM1 Module Of Analog Inputs

The SM1 2-channel module of analog inputs is destined to convert standard signals, resistance or temperature signals into numerical data accessible via the RS-485 or RS-232 port by means of the MODBUS protocol. The measurement is carried out independently in two channels. RS-485 and RS-232 output ports are galvanically insulated from input signals and the supply. The module programming is possible by means of the RS-485 or RS-232 port. In the set of SM1 module there is a connecting cable, to connect with the PC computer (RS-232).

SM2 Module Of Analog Inputs

The SM2 4-channel module of analog inputs is destined to convert standard signals, resistance or temperature signals into numerical data accessible through the RS-485 or RS-232 port by means of the MODBUS protocol.
The measurement is carried out independently on four, galvanically insulated between them channels. RS-485 and RS-232 output ports are galvanically insulated from input signals and the supply. The module  programming is possible by means of the RS-485 or RS-232 port. In the set of SM2 module there is a  connecting cable, to connect with the PC computer (RS-232).

SMCT302 Telemetry Measurement and Control System

SMCT302 – the Telemetry Measurement and Control System developed by SMAR is designed to monitor and control variables of industrial and commercial processes whose long distance or site geographic situation make the installation of cables impractical.

SR11 System for Injection Moulds with Heated Channels

The SR11 system is destined for the temperature control in injection moulds with heated channels and for other systems in plastics processing. It is composed of BR11 controllers and a set of connecting cables.
The RS-485/MODBUS digital interface and the software on PC enable the supervision of the data archiving process (the LUMEL 3000 software for data archiving and visualisation must be ordered separately).
The Fuzzy Logic algorythm ensures a high accuracy of the temperature control and an optimal energy consumption. The function of softstart and leakage current control warrant the reliability of heaters. During the machine operation break, a decreased
temperature is maintained, what enables a fast start.

SUP303 Profibus-DP Transient Suppressor and Anti-Surge

The SUP303 has advanced technology for protection in three stages. Its advanced components work in peaks of high voltage and short duration, high current, high voltage, low impedance with fast response and effective protection against ESD and EMI. The SUP303 circuits were developed to provide effective and coordinate protection in reaction to a transitory at the Profibus-DP port. The primary stage protects from the exposition to an excess of transitory voltage, at a lower level. When the current transient exceeds the trigger limit, the second stage responds in microseconds, thus limiting the current. The third stage keeps the voltage within the Profibus-DP drive limits.

SV

SV monitors allow control and monitoring of rotary valves with enclosures for general use and increased safety (Ex e).

SVX – Stainless Steel

Designed for monitoring pneumatic rotary actuators, has a enclosure with high degree of protection against penetration of liquids and ambient salinity (IPW66), is fully machined in 316 Stainless Steel

SYSCON Foundation Fieldbus System Configuration

The SYSCON is a powerful and user friendly software tool to configure, maintain and operate a FIELDBUS based system through a PC. The WINDOWS™ graphic user interface is so easy to use that no previousknowledge of computers is required. The computer can communicate with a FIELDBUS network via a PCI or any other suitable interface.

The software includes the functions:

SYSTEM AND DEVICE CONFIGURATION
With this function it is possible to communicate with all devices in the network, assign tags, configure the control strategy, adjust parameters and download a configuration.

SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
This function communicates with all field instruments, and accesses information about instrument manufacturer, materials of construction, ranges, etc. It also allows for transducer calibration and controller tuning. The on-line diagnostic report is a very powerful tool for plant reliability. Complete maintenance reports are issued according to the user’s configuration. Alarm and events reports are issued on line.

SYSTEM OPERATION
The user can have indication of variables, historical trends, alarm logs, etc. They can also change parameters and settings or send commands. It is the ideal tool for plant commissioning!

Tag View 3.1 A Fieldbus OPC Client Application

Tag View 3.1 is an OLE for Process Control Client Application (OPC Client) specially developed to validate a Fieldbus Configuration. This software monitors the Function Blocks and their parameters in the two forms of windowing: Tag View Window to display value and status of process variable in a real time trend graphic. You can use Tag View Window to analyze the statistical behavior of the process variables, also. Tag View window determines the maximum and minimum values and the number of overshoots and undershoots that exceed a specified dead band of the configured tags.

Three Phase Power Network Meter

The N14 meter is a programmable digital panel instrument destined for the measurement of 3-phase, 3 or 4-wire power network parameters, in balanced or unbalanced systems with the simultaneous display of measured quantities and digital transmission of their values. This network parameter meter enables the control and optimization of power electronic devices, systems and industrial installations. The N14 meter ensures the measurement of: RMS voltage and current, active, reactive and apparent power, active and reactive energy, power factors, frequency, mean active power (e.g. 15-min mean power). Voltages and currents are multiplied by given current and voltage ratios of measuring transformers. Indications of power and energy take into consideration programmed ratio values. The value of each measured quantity can be transmitted to the master system through the RS-485 interface. The relay output signals the exceeding of the chosen quantity and the impulse output can be used for the consumption control of the 3-phase active energy. The meter has a detection and signaling of incorrect phase sequence. The meter is fixed to the panel by means of screw holders.
