HI302: Hart/ Foundation Fieldbus Interface

The HI302 is an equipment integral to SYSTEM302 which main function is to interface HART devices to F OUNDATION fieldbus systems , allowing the user to perform maintenance, calibration, sensor status monitoring, device status, among other information.
 HI302 main characteristicis:

  • Registered in Fieldbus Foundation, it successfully has passed by rigorous interoperability tests;
  • Tight integration with different system manufactures* due to the use of standard protocols – F OUNDATION fieldbus and HART;
  • Suitable for asset management systems, totally integrated to AssetView;
  • Uniform systems and tools, making it easy to operate and reducing maintenance costs;
  • HART configuration commands located into the module, allowing HART messages to be sent through bypass parameters;
  • Complete configuration of Smar devices enclosed in the HI302 module, thus no additional configuration is required;
  • Configuration for third party equipments can also be embedded in the flash memory or added through F OUNDATION fieldbus blocks;

HMI Operator Panels

The Operator Panel is one of the tools designed for process operators. The panel is a graphical interface between its user and the process. It provides the user with the following functions: control, monitoring, visualization and process management. The operator using the panel has the ability to enter data and control devices via the touch screen. The device is designed to work with PLCs, controllers, transmitters and other devices. The Operator Panel ensures simple control of a process, e.g. by selecting a predefined set of parameter settings, entering values from the keyboard , generating alarms and warnings, and creating reports that include important parameters changes during the process, e.g. for the quality management department of a plant. Advanced features of the device, such as animations, trends, data acquisition, logging, and securing data facilitate operator’s work and provide information for optimizing the process. Advanced visualization and a wide range of functions also help to minimize operational errors, improving the process quality.

A control algorithm for the panel is created on a PC for specific solutions of the control system and then it is sent to the panel via Ethernet connection or downloaded from USB drive. The algorithm is created with “Panel Studio” – an effective programming tool, which does not require knowledge of any programming language and operates on any PC with Windows XP / VISTA / 7/ 8. This software is equipped with communication drivers for many devices and an extensive library of functional modules that facilitate configuring functions of the panel, fault diagnostics and designing dialogues with the user. An application algorithm is created by inserting prepared library objects into design sheets and setting parameters of these objects in accordance with requirements.

All of this transparently,  without the need for configurations. It supports up to 124 PROFIBUS PA slaves and detects the PROFIBUS DP network communication rate automatically.

HSC303: High Speed Coupler Profibus-DP/PA

In the search for practical solutions and high performance, Smar presents its new solution on connectivity for industrial networks: the high speed coupler for PROFIBUS DP/PA, the HSC303.

This module enables communicating with high transmission rates, up to 12 Mbits/s, with PROFIBUS DP masters and transform the signal in the field standard, PROFIBUS PA with fixed 31,25 kbits. All of this transparently,  without the need for configurations. It supports up to 124 PROFIBUS PA slaves and detects the PROFIBUS DP network communication rate automatically.

The HSC303 is part of a modular solution capable to provide electrical signals with the correct tension and current specifications, compliant with IEC 61158-2 standard both for classified areas or not.

With an adapter IM153/HSC303 and a cable (patchcord) is possible to connect  the HSC303 in systems using the IM153, replacing the Siemens DP / PA coupler. This can be done in a transparent way, without the need to make any configuration changes, because the HSC303 is transparent to the Profibus DP network.

The elements below make up the complete solution to access the PROFIBUS PA network. They are:

HT20 Temperature & Humidity Monitor

HT20 monitor has been designed to measure, monitor and record temperature and humidity.
It is a perfect solution for any facilities where monitoring and recording such values are very important for the accuracy of the whole process (for example, in server rooms, drug and food warehouses, laboratories, museums or glasshouses). The data captured by HT20 is stored in the internal memory and then sent digitally to the user (by the Ethernet). In case of an emergency situation, the device immediately sends appropriate warnings via emails or via a website. An additional advantage of H20 is the possibility that it can be powered over the Ethernet. This feature is available in versions that are equipped with the Power over Ethernet system (PoE).

IF302 Current to FieldBus Converter

  • The IF302 is from the first generation of Fieldbus devices. It is a converter mainly intended for interface of analog transmitters to a Fieldbus network.
  • The IF302 receives a current signal, typically 4-20 mA or 0-20mA, and makes it available to the Fieldbus system.
  • The digital technology used in the IF302 enables a single model to accept three inputs and also provide several types of transfer functions.

IF303 Tripple Channel Current to Profibus Converter

  • The IF303 is a converter mainly intended to interface analog transmitters to a Profibus PA network.
  • The IF303 receives up to three current signal typically 4-20 mA or 0-20 mA, and makes them
    available to Profibus PA system.
  • The digital technology used in the IF303 enables an easy interface between the field and the control room

IR290 4 TO 20mA Remote Indicator

IR290 is a field equipment connected in series with a 4 to 20 mA equipment that displays on the LCD the current or the characterization of said current according to the unit chosen by the user facilitating the visualization of the process variable. It makes it easier to visualize measurements in equipment without the LCD display or even if they are located in difficult access spots.

IR303: 8-Variable Profibus-PA Remote Indicator

The IR303 receives up to 8 variables (float + status) via cyclical communication with the Profibus-DP class 1 Master and enables them on the LCD display. It works with any Profibus-DP mater and is ideal for applications with the TT383, 8-channel Profibus-PA temperature transmitter or any other Profibus equipment.

 

IS400P Power Distributor and Isolator

The signal Isolator Distributor Module model IS400P is an auxiliary device projected to isolate galvanically a transmitted signal (current or voltage) of a receiver device, typically a register or controller. Besides, the power supply of the module is isolated from the input and output. The signal Isolator Distributor Module – IS400P – solves the problem of the distortion in the signal transfer due to potentials of different ground. It can also be used in the power supply of two-wire transmitters.

ISD600P Digital Output Isolator for CD600/CD600Plus

The ISD600P – Digital Output Isolator – is an auxiliary module for the CD600/CD600Plus Multi-loop Digital Controller, which converts the open-collector digital outputs into isolated relay outputs. This increases the rating of outputs, allowing the connection of higher loads, without interference among them.

JB400 Intelligent Junction Box for FOUNDATION fieldbus, Profibus-PA

The JB400 offers spur protection against short circuits (between + and – terminals), limiting the short circuit current in each spur. During a short circuit situation there is no effect in the other spur or the main trunk. There is a LED to indicate short circuits and JB400 has an integrated bus terminator in the models F and P.
 
In normal operation, each short circuit protector consumes less than 3 mA. After removing the short circuit, the spur goes back to normal operation, the protection circuit is disabled and the LED is dimmed.
